I just wanted to show you these new tights I got the other day as a late Christmas present from my parents. If you saw when I received them the other day on Instagram, then you might have been able to tell how excited I was.



These are compression tights from 2xu. Supposedly pronounced two times you but I always read it as two x u. By supposedly, I mean that’s what their official website says.
The benefits of wearing compression tights are
- Reduced fatigue through less muscle oscillation (that’s a fancy word for jiggle)
- Reduced muscles soreness
- Reduced long-term overuse injuries
- Greater power output
- Heightened proprioception (awareness of limb placement for agility)
At least that what they say. To be honest every cell in my brain is refusing to do a thorough search for evidence-based research supporting these claims. It’s the day after my exam and I feel tired just from thinking about doing more work. So instead you’re getting my subjective opinion (but at least I’m being honest about my subjectivity).
I love these tights; I feel great, I feel strong when I wear them. The boost I experience could all be down to placebo, but it’s still a boost.
I’m wearing the midrise version with the wide waistband that makes them comfortable to wear. I ended up buying them from Sportamore Outlet because they were the cheapest I could find – but Workoutshop.dk has good prices as well and a bigger selection (that is, if you’re from Denmark like me).
