Hi friend! Today I’m rounding up this blog’s all-time most popular posts.
This means the posts that the most people have had a peak at – and it’s not necessarily the best posts. Because that’s a subjective measure – and people come to this blog for many different reasons: Some are avid readers (and I love you), others just stumbled over an interesting recipe on social media and never came back (but I still got a little love for you too).
My personal favourites – the pieces I’m most proud of and the pieces that have had the biggest impact on me when writing are a different story that I’ll share another time. For now, there’s plenty of good stuff for you to dive into in this list:
The Blog’s most popular post
Number 20. How to be More Confident in the Gym: Going to the gym can be intimidating, especially if you want to lift weights. Luckily there are things that you can do (and that I’ve done) that can make it easier.
Number 19. Strawberry Protein Smoothie – Recipe: Smoothies are yummy! I can’t blame you for loving this
Number 18. Choosing the Right Kind of Protein Powder: A breakdown of different kinds of protein powder and when to use them.
Number 17. Daily Weight Fluctuations Experiment: I think weight fluctuations are so important to keep in mind if you regularly step onto the scale – this post shows just how much my weight fluctuated over the course of a normal day.
Number 16. Bedtime yoga: A bit of stretching is the perfect way to calm day and relax before bed.
Number 15. Quick & Easy Peanut Butter Energy Bites: this recipe is so simple and a lovely quick snack.
Number 14. Time to Lose Weight!?: It’s been a while since I updated you on my “weight loss” – and all your lovely support makes me think it’s time for another instalment.
Number 13. What Causes Daily Weight Fluctuations? More about weight (loss). Following the weight fluctuations experiment at number 17, here are the reasons behind the fluctuations.
Number 12. My Knee Recovery Workout: I’m sad to see I’m clearly not the only struggling with a stupid knee, but I hope this workout can at least help some of you.
Number 11. Very Berry Coconut Protein Smoothie Recipe: Another yummy smoothie recipe – and, although less relevant, I’m really proud of the photography in this one.
Number 10. 6 Things You Should Never Say to a Person Dealing with Depression: Breaking down mental health stigma is something I want to get better at doing, and this post is an important part of that.
Number 9. Upper body & AB ATTACK Workout Inspiration: Just another day at the gym with an awesome workout.
Number 8. How to Do Push Ups (If You Can Do About 0 Push Ups): This post did ridiculously well when I first posted just the gifs on Tumblr – I’m glad so many people are finding this useful!
Number 7. Pull Ups and Chin Ups for Beginners: What a fun coincidence that the push up and pull up posts are just next to each other.
Number 6. Blog Photography – How to Take Pictures on Your Own: I’m 50% happy that this post is so popular 100% embarrassed that so many people have seen these ridiculous pictures of me.
Number 5. Dumbbells vs Machines: Which is Better? Weighing up the pros and cons of using either dumbbells or gym machines.
Number 4. Recovery Is Not a Straight Line – Thoughts From Therapy: My ‘thoughts from therapy’ series is very hard to write, but I’m overwhelmed by the support you give back whenever I share from the heart. This post in particular, must have contained something other people needed to hear too.
Number 3. Peanut Butter Berry Smoothie: This is pretty much my standard smoothie recipe, I love it.
Number 2. Running Tips: Don’t Forget to Breathe: Somehow the only post I’ve ever written about running ended up here in the top.
And now – drumroll, please.
Number 1. Small Steps Towards Self-Love: Being one of the first posts I ever wrote (should I be worried I haven’t improved since?), I’m so happy that my most popular post is one that spreads a positive message with actionable advice on self-love.
I hope 2017 is good to you. Happy new year!
