*Tweep tweep*
I could have sworn I was never going to join twitter. Yet here I am, already completely hooked.
I’m starting to build new friendships.
I’m about to host my first twitter chat.
And I am loving it!
Mostly. Let’s not get too excited yet. The honeymoon phase isn’t over.
I was hesistant, because I thought twitter had no potential. It was just people shouting into the void. Or the people who write about what’s hip (the kind of people who use the word hip), rather than the people who are actually cool.
Truth is, both are there. Everyone’s there. And there’s a reason for that.
Since December I’ve spend a lot more time discovering new blogs and expanding my network. I am completely amazed by how much love that exist on the internet. The blogging community is so supportive – and most of them seemed to be hanging out on twitter.
Especially when it came to twitter chats, so many people were saying it’s the best way to grow your readership and make new friendships. I had to investigate, like a true detective. This the kind of thing a detective would do, I’m sure. Don’t argue with me.

So I made an account. Sassy was poking me to join twitter too after this post, and she pushed me over the edge – I just couldn’t get the idea out of my head anymore!
Joining a new social media platform is stressful. There’s so much to learn, and I have no idea if I’m doing it right or wrong – all these unwritten rules that defines the tone of the platform. You don’t even notice it when you have been there for a while. But as the new girl in class, I’m acutely aware of everything I could be doing wrong. I feel like an elephant dancing on the tables when everyone’s trying to sit down and have a nice dinner.
But you’re never alone in the blogging community, and it’s easy to get invited inside! People are always ready to chat on twitter. I’ve been welcomed with open arms, and I know I’m going to make some amazing friends here.
I’ve also challenged myself to host a twitter chat gasp. I love the #FitbunniesChat, and I’ll be hosting on January 24th! Get ready for a fun hour at 6 PM GMT. See you at @annesmiless!
For now, let me know if you’re on twitter and what your first experience with it was in the comments!

Since you made it all the way to the end, you may as well follow on Instagram as it’s the place to be!
But their algorithm is a mystery so maybe sign up for the newsletter to never miss a post! ✨

I love Twitter…it’s a bloggers heaven for me and I’ve made lots of great friends. We’re a lovely bunch I think βΊ x

Its so hard to keep up with all the social media channels!

Yup, don’t know how I’m going to keep up with all of them now!
I’ve no idea if my first comment got deleted, because apparently I can’t type, or if it’s in internet mid being blogged.
But…
Welcome to Twitter, I could never imagine blogging without it, and I started that 6 years ago.
I have changed my relationship with it through the years and now I use it as a way to expand my blog while supporting and connecting with other bloggers xx

Ah sorry, the first time you comment on my blog, I need to approve it! Just to keep the weirdos away. A label that of course doesn’t fit you! Thank you again x
Aw how exciting for you. I don’t think I could have ever blogged without twitter, and I started 6 years ago. My relationship has changed with it, and now I see it as somewhere I can expand my blog and support other bloggers while connecting with them.

I definitely feel like I’ve been missing out on something great, and so glad I decided to join, finally! It’s such a great way to connect with bloggers and network π
Hey, I grabbed my twitter handle and that’s about it. I have not joined the masses, lol But I am so glad you are enjoying it. Keep us updated, I may yet be swayed π
It’s never to late to join in! If you decide to try a twitter chat some day, Sassy has a great calendar with them here http://cupventure.com/blogger-chats/ π
Twitter is a different kind of animal. I’m always trying to figure out how to navigate it. A Twitter chat is a fantastic idea.

Thahaha, all my fault.
I’m glad you took the plunge. You’re doing so good and people seem to love you π I would not worry too much about unwritten rules or anything.
I’m looking forward to your chat! What will be the topic? π
Sassy xx
You know you’re the one I’m going to blame the I’m admitted to rehab for becoming to addicted to twitter! I really appreciate the warm welcome and help you’ve given me!
I’m not hundred percent sure, but I was thinking about talking about weight + non scale victories, or about having fun with fitness π
Oh, well, I guess we can go to rehab together then. Haha.
Those are great topics. Looking forward to the chat. π xx
Haha I’m looking forward to it!!
