How fantastic is the weather suddenly? I’m currently sitting outside, ready to type up my workout, and it’s so amazing. A bit of sunshine really does wonders for my mood and wellbeing!
For this workout I had planned to wake up early to do a bit of lifting before a gym class. I was about to try my first hatha yoga class ever – and although it would be nice to just snooze and complete my workout after class, I feel so relaxed after those yoga I can’t get pumped for a lifting session.
Well that was the plan. Until I got outside to find my bike with a flat tire. With a knee that can’t run, I had to hurry to get to the gym in time. At least that’s the warm up done 😉
But it meant I had to cut my workout short – but also that I got to walk home in fantastic sunny weather. Now, let’s stop running around and get down to the workout.
- Quick warmup for the shoulders
- Bench press 3 x 12
- Lat pull down 3 x 12
- Chest flys 3 x 10
- Parallel pull-ups w/ elastic, 3 x 6
- Dumbbell shoulder press 3 x 6, drop 50% of the weight 3 x 12
- Hammer curls, 2 x 12
- Stair sprints as I realized I was late for yoga on the other floor
- 1 hour hatha yoga
- And roughly 4.5 km of walking in total
Sidenote: why would a gym ever place the pull up bar where the ceiling is the lowest. I practically had to do half reps because my head was hitting the ceiling. Now that’s just silly.
