Finally! After a rough few weeks, things are finally moving my way 🙂
Well, I did wake up with something that feels a lot like a cold coming on, but it’s not because I refuse to go down with a cold right now. Mind over matter totally applies to this situation, right?
On the upside, it’s going to take more than a cold to kill my motivation. I am finally feeling driven, and both my head and body is ready to get back on track. But I am very aware that trying to do too much too soon will only send me spiralling back and so I am trying to take it slow. Patience can just be so hard sometimes!
Things I’m totally gonna do this week
- Go to the gym 4 times: Last week I went there for the first time in forever for a total of 4 times. Getting back into a workout routine is always a struggle (I’m talking all the DOMS!), and it’s easy to get frustrated over how light you’re lifting compared to what you used to. But I don’t focus on that – I’m just grateful to be back!
- Do daily shoulder exercises (as prescribed by physio): Over the past year I’ve been experiencing tension headaches and tight muscles around my neck and shoulder. I saw a physiotherapist about for the first time last week where I got a massage (so good!) + 2 exercises I need to do multiple times a day.
